Full Circle is hosting a Lomilomi Course for health practitioners this summer, July 7th & 8th with Hawaiian Elder Francine Dudoit Tagupa. Please call the office if you are interested in this course, and feel free to forward this information to someone you think may be interested.
Lomilomi is an ancient Hawaiian healing practice integrating health, bodywork and energy flow. Benefits are similar to other recognized massage techniques, with the application of full body strokes…, stretching and pressure points to improve immune response, circulation, range of motion and mind body spirit connection. The therapist uses hands, forearms and elbows to work with clients who are fully clothed. Lomlomi is practiced with the spirit of aloha (love) and care of life force (mana) to restore balance (pono).
This Lomilomi course is founded on traditional Hawaiian wisdom, integrating contemporary knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, interpersonal skills, ethics and safety in massage therapy practice. Indigenous teaching and learning approaches are honoured in the experiential (hands-on) and discussion based course, with guidance from a traditional Hawaiian healer & Elder.
Are there any training dates that are upcoming?
Yes we are going to be hosting again March 23/24, 2019. Please watch for news shortly.
